Rave Reviews

The best part of our job is making our clients happy. I know a lot of people say that but its really why we're here and have a passion for design. Recently, we "tweeted" about a bouquet we designed for Marla and this is what she had to say:

Stacey,

I just wanted to thank you for all of the hard work!!! The flowers were
absolutely gorgeous! I have received so many comments about the bouquets and
the centerpieces. Everything was just perfect! The centerpieces really made
the natural beauty of Thurman's Mansion pop! The feathers and birch in the
cowboy boots totally captured my personality and P.R.'s. His family was so
impressed that both of our tastes blended so well. And my bouquet was
exactly what I had imagined! Everyone has been asking about it!!!! (To make
it even better, we got the best picture of my flower girl sitting under the
arbor holding my bouquet and it is one of my favorite pictures of the
wedding so far!!!!

I just wanted to thank you for taking my mental pictures of how everything
would look and making it a reality (and so much more)!!! Not many people
could get what I wanted and make it better than I ever imagined. You really
out did yourself! I appreciate everything!!

Thanks a Million,

Marla J

Erin & Dennis - Red Corral Ranch

I had such a great time working with Erin, she was SO laid back!!! Her colors palette was a cool mixture of chocolate, all shades of happy yellow, soft touches of peach and hints of natural soft green as well as anything we found that was pretty on our world wide floral shopping menus that week!!! :)

Erin's bridal was a mixture of ivory & green hydrangea, yellow mini cymbidium orchids, yellow ranunculas, yellow peonies, peach stock secured with ivory ribbon .
The bridesmaids bouquets had more yellow and shades of peach with green accents.

We also had posy bouquets which were clumps of fun wedding flowers

the boutonnieres were yellow mokara orchids with a simple leaf loop accent

Erin picked the pavilion porch as her ceremony area so, we softened the beams with vine, greenery and wedding colored flowers that could handle the good old Texas heat!

All of the tables had a unique design to create nice conversation amongst the guests!

This is the toss bouquet... smaller and less extravagant mix of the bridal... we typically place it in a vase on the guest book table.

up close of the altar vine and heat resistant flowers.... hope you enjoyed!!! :~)

Natures Point Wedding - Lago Vista

Kelly is gorgeous and her groom as well as her rocking necklace just topped it off!

Their ceremony was held on the lawn at Nature's Point and as you can tell, this venue offers plenty of photo ops.... Diana Lott is an amazing photographer and we LOVE working with her!!

This should go in a magazine!!! :~)
I love the fact that her bridesmaids wore these short white dresses... DARE to be different!

The color came in with the moms posies & the reception flowers... beautiful coral charm peonies

The aisle markers were shepherd hooks with multiple height vases & single flowers.

The urns at the back of the aisle were topped with large white orchid sprays

a suspended moss covered cross had accents of white wedding flowers popped throughout so it didn't get lost in the lush green background!

The sweetheart table was lavish and romantic!!!
We often pair ranuncula bloom boutonnieres when we are using peonies in a wedding... they make a nice match and are not too girly!

Laguna Gloria -- Spring Wedding

This wedding was coordinated by SWEET Aimee with Lizzie Belle Events. She works so close with her brides to insure that every single detail is EXACTLY what they have envisioned. She even shopped all around town for the perfect ribbon colors to use on the shepherd hooks... Love That!!! Susan was a great bride and I am happy to be showing off the photos from her wedding!

Thank you to Diane Mueller for the photos!!!

The Bridesmaids bouquets were pink peonies, roses, spray roses, stock & a crown of dainty Italian variegated pittosporum... YUMMY!

The tables lined the path below Laguna Gloria... this makes for a nice garden feel without being in the uneven grass!

A floral accent added to the large iron gate serves as a nice welcome as guest enter the reception area.

Susan and her Daddy on their way to Laguna's Lawn to say the big I DO!

low wide cylinder vases with grass swirls and a fluffy mix of wedding flowers complimented the soft colored table linens.

Shepherd hooks with a single bloomed peony and ribbon draped looked really nice along the aisle.

The tables had a trio of flowers with the 3rd vase holding the bridesmaids bouquet!

antique gold painted manzanita branches kicked to one side served nice as a wishing tree!

Three Points Ranch- Vintage Chic & Super SASSY!!!

First of all... it POURED all day before the wedding and totally cleared up 30 minutes before the outside ceremony was supposed to start! They say it is good luck if it rains on your wedding day so... Jaime & Matt are good to go!!!

Thank you to Lucie's Events for all of her cool details like antique umbrellas, 57 Chevy's to take guest to the ceremony site, vintage aprons for all of the catering waitstaff and cool quilt covered hay bails to pull the whole look and feel together! LOVE IT!!!

The Brides bouquet was a fun collection of peach stock, kale, green wheat, coral sweetpeas, orange pincushions, peach tulips and a finishing touch of green hanging amaranthus
little galvanized buckets with a mix of wedding flowers adorned the aisle chairs

The bride and her family collected various size and shaped antique bottles that we filled with small collections of wedding flowers on-site. These complimented our pre-designed centerpieces that were placed on every other table.

Yes... the bridesmaids DID wear boots!!! Three Points Ranch is really on a ranch and it had poured like crazy that day...soooo, the boots fit the vibe PERFECT!!!

I know this isn't really a FLORAL photo but... couldn't resist posting it... SUPER SEXY kind of ad material if you ask me!!!

This is one of the ceremony options, It's VERY Natural with a great view... See sexy photo above!

I am pretty positive Steven Meyers and Lucie's Events have more photos for you to check out if you would like to see additional details.
Hope you enjoyed the few photos posted here! :~)

Real Weddings

Stay tuned for some new and exciting changes to our blog. After attending engage! 09 something blue conference in Grand Cayman, we've been inspired!

We'll be featuring our favorite weddings, bouquet of the week and other lovely things that make us smile. :) See! It's already starting!

Onto why you're really here - pretty flowers!

Julie and Jeremy were married in Julie's family home in Lago Vista. An amazing Jewish ceremony overlooking the beautiful Lake Travis. One word to describe this event: Yellow! From different size and shaped urns on the tables to the lush chuppah, romance and whimsy were key in designing this wedding.

{Wedding cast}
Director & Producer: Caplan Miller Events
Photography: Diana Lott Photography

Super lush bridal bouquet with daffodils, orchids, sweet peas, stock, hydrangea, ranunculus - if it was yellow it was in her bouquet!
Iron chuppah provided by Mancino Iron covered with Texas smilax and yellow floral
Hanging lanterns were incorporated throughout the home
The dark urns made the floral pop against the natural linens. We love using urns and other vessels in our designs. It gives it that extra added element to the decor and style of the event.
The chuppah was later transformed to create a setting for Julie & Jeremy's beautiful cake. YUM!

Melissa + Ben

We're on Day 2 of our SMS Photography love week. This wedding was also at the Driskill Hotel and I just loved the deep red and ivory combos. It was so vintage and classic and the theme looked great inside the hotel. It also helped that Melissa is gorgeous! We couldn't have done it without the fabulous Caplan Miller girls and Simon Lee Bakery. Thanks ladies, its always a pleasure working with such great people.

Gorgeous ivory garden roses and hydrangea for the bridal bouquet and and a mixture of ivory garden roses, hydrangea and a pop of burgundy dahlias with a classic greenery accent. Love!

We used a custom aisle runner with a monochromatic damask pattern for that vintage feel, along with our signature candle scape with hydrangea accents and simple altar pieces in stone urns.

We had an array of different table arrangements that included the simple ivory colors with the burgundy and green accents with a chocolate leaf swirl to cover the stems and create a clean look. You'll also see that we created a way to use the bridesmaids bouquets as part of the centerpieces.

Lovely simple design by Simon Lee accented by fluffy white hydrangea.
And they lived happily ever after... :)

Loni + Josh - The Driskill Hotel

This week we're going to feature a few of our weddings that SMS Photography has beautifully photographed and shared with us. She's working on her website as we speak so check out her blog for more beautiful images. It feels like every other wedding we're working with her and we couldn't be happier about it. Stacy, (great name by the way!) is super talented and we can always count on her for those amazing detail shots. She appreciates design & details and most importantly, she captures the entire essence of an event. Hip! Hip! Hooray! for SMS Photography!

Loni has amazing taste and she wanted something cool, modern and very clean. We loved all the black and white details. Her table design consisted of black manzanita branches adorned with crystals and white dendrobium orchids adding a mound of ivory hydrangeas at the base to balance out the strong branches.

The wonderful and super talented Caplan Miller team handled the day flawlessly.

Last but not least... We always love Driskill weddings!

So, off to the photos... hope you enjoy!! :)

Totally gorgeous!
Loni's bouquet had a mound of hydrangea accented with white peonies & crystal-centered stephanotis blooms. We finished the look with a crown of black tii leaves.

Oh, Simon Lee, you make my heart and tummy feel good!

The Original Winter Wonderland!

We've been blogging about our "winter wonderland" themed open house at The Terrace Club and at our bridal show booth and we wanted to show you where the inspiration came from.

December 6, 2008 - Lauren & Jim
The Terrace Club, Dripping Springs Texas

Jona Davis with Forever Photography did an amazing job capturing all the details of the day. We also think that lighting really creates that ambiance that you're after. The icy blue light truly makes the design thanks to Ilios Lighting. Lauren & Jim even had "real" snow come down on guests as they entered The Terrace Club.

There's a lot of pictures we wanted to include so be prepared! Jona - we love them all!!

Branches and trees are placed on the front and back of the ceremony area and also along the aisle. They are all snow-flocked and crystals for that extra shimmer and romance!

Suspended candles from the trees created some "warmth" in this snow covered room. In between the trees on the aisle we had white shepherd's hooks snow-flocked with hanging white pomanders to soften the texture against the branches.

Lauren - you looked amazing!

Mary Jane & Mike - Wedding at the Salt Lick Pavilion

We love weddings at the Salt Lick Pavilion and Thurman's Mansion. Not only is it super close to our studio and home, but we love how versatile the space is. You can go from Hill Country Chic to Classy elegance to fun with some gerbera daisies.

Mary Jane's decor was fun, sassy and romantic. We loved the vintage-y feel that her bridal bouquet had.

Thank you to the super generous and talented Michael Hooks with Hooked on Photography for these lovely images. We can always count on him for some great detail shots!

Too cute!!!

We loved how the bridal bouquet really suited Mary Jane's dress for a soft look and the fun "pop" of color against the bridesmaids' dresses.

A simple centerpiece of hydrangea, hypericum berries and hanging amaranthus finished with a birch swirl and petals on the table.

This altar/arbor is always at the Pavilion and we love coming up with different ways to decorate it. We used fuschia/hot pink spray roses and green amaranthus for softness and romance.

Sarah + Steve - January 3, 2009

Its been a wild 2009 so far, and we're only one month in! We had the wonderful pleasure to design Sarah and Steve's wedding. Their ceremony was at Santa Cruz Catholic Church in Buda - what an amazing church. It was still beautifully decorated with Christmas decor so we didn't have to do much. The reception was held at the historic Driskill Hotel in downtown Austin.

We could not have done it without 36th Street Events - Katherine and Schmitt Photography! As always it was an amazing wedding thanks to those top notch vendors.

We loved how soft this white cymbidum orchid bouquet turned out. We added a white hydrangea base to give it some form and fullness. The bridesmaid bouquets were hydrangea with one orchid kicked off to the side for a little sass.

Urban Cowboy

For Vista West Ranch's open house, we decided to give a little twist to "rustic". We can't say this enough, but we LOVE succulents & moss! Its just so much fun to work with and you can achieve such fullness and texture without having to go overboard on fresh cut flowers. Thank you to all the wonderful vendors who participated in this open house. We are looking forward to seeing what the February vendor showcase has to bring... We're going green! If you want to see other great shots of this open house... Check out what Hooked on photography put on his blog! Thanks for the great photos Michael... You're a Sweetheart!!!

Wedding Chicks!

We've been checking out the Wedding Chicks blog for some time now and they recently included us on their blog - we even get a big fancy banner! Thanks girls and keep up the super fabulous work you do!

Bridal Show Booth - Winter Wonderland

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth last weekend. We wanted to do something a little different and something you don't really see in Central Texas - SNOW! We created a custom chuppah that can be any color and any size. We loved that brides were getting underneath the chuppah and taking pictures of themselves holding our bouquets. We were next to Todd at Say Cheese (we were competing for best back drop.) :) Thank you to Lucie's Events for assisting with our booth again this year with design & production. We make a great team!

We had a lot of fun incorporating crystals and believe it or not - carnations. They are truly making a comeback in the event industry as a super durable bloom that allows desingers to take floral to places water can't go!!! They are so durable! From carnation wreaths, pomanders or hanging flowers, I can't think of a REAL flower that holds up better than a carnation... especially for a two-day show.

Check out the stunning photos that Eric from Studio 563 took while stopping by. Studio 563 is so great at taking detail shots and are one of our absolute favorites to work with.

"Pretty Pretty" is what we'll call this one. I am lovin' the dahlias, anemones, hypericum berries, hydrangea and spray roses in this one and finishing it off with some green amaranthus. So romantic.

Snow flocked trees and a custom chuppuh topped with ivory hydrangea for that really lush soft look. We took a different take on hanging crystals which you will still see a lot this year. We also added some lighting to the backdrop for that extra wow. Lighting is the latest "must have" in wedding design - at least we think so!
This dainty bouquet is filled with hydrangea, white ranuncula accents, varigated grass loops and crowned with lamb's ear. Lamb's ear is soooo soft!

We've been seeing/creating this style of bouquet recently. Two kinds of flowers such as tulips and hydrangea in a perfect ring to give each flower its own spotlight.
Thanks again Eric... We LOVE showing off the photos you take of our work!!! :)

Anybody still out there?

Hello everyone! We've finally had time to catch our breaths from weddings, bridal shows & open houses. Its been an amazing winter so far and we thank you for being a part of it! I also wanted to have a special shout out to Mrs. Cindy Pearson (Stacey's mom) today. She's in surgery today and we are sending a bunch of warm fuzzies her way. Here is an beautiful photo Micheal Hooks took at the Vista West Ranch Open House on Wednesday. Love you Cindy! Wishing you a speedy recovery.

xoxo,
